Our team

Raja bases her theoretical framework from an attachment theory/psychodynamic perspective. She utilizes expressive therapy (art; sound therapy, meditation; yoga) to work through a subconscious level; and CBT/DBT based skill building for learning how to function. Her goal is to walk alongside people she works with through the journey of life.

She's dedicated her life to understanding intergenerational trauma and how to break the cycles within family systems. She incorporates a neuroscientific perspective on the mind-body connection to heal at the root.

I am a Mom of a beautiful daughter, a dog mom to two dogs and a self-proclaimed baker. My passion for helping others heal is motivated by triumph over personal adversity. I am rooted in Southcoast MA, where I was born and raised. Through hard work, perseverance, and support I became a first-generation college graduate of an immigrant family of child slaves. This lens gave me the foundation and compassion to work with people at a deeper level. At 18, I became a pediatric Palliative/Hospice volunteer/intern, while simultaneously working at various child/adolescent group homes to complete my graduate degree in Social Work. Since then, I have worked in hospital facilities with people in crisis and eventually returned back to the same hospice facility where my journey started.
When COVID struck, I saw a deep need for more independent providers and began my private practice where I focus on supporting people’s strengths and encourage their self-empowerment through their own adversity. I am also a newly certified sound healer and have started incorporating this method into my practice, because I recognize the importance of utilizing holistic practices to heal the subconscious mind. I witness the power of people taking care of their mental health through individual therapy on a daily basis. However, I have realized through my professional experience that an individual can only achieve a higher level of healing when they have a supported place within their community and surrounding systems. We as humans are designed to travel in packs, work as a team, support each other, help one another in feasible ways, identify with a personal purpose, and also feel a part of a larger purpose within our community. It is my intention to be part of Real Eyes Truth in efforts to assist in connecting our communities by providing a safe space for individuals elevating to higher levels of healing. I believe in this initiative to create a larger community purpose and taking steps to restore community cohesiveness.

Maxanne Millette Wordell
Trauma-informed social worker
Maxanne is an experienced social worker with over two decades of experience working with children and families, both domestically in Massachusetts and internationally in the United Kingdom. In addition to her MSW from Boston University, Maxanne is a post-masters level trained trauma-informed educator from Lesley University and a licensed school social worker. She also has a long history of working in schools, which has provided her with a unique perspective on the challenges faced by children and adolescents, and has allowed her to develop effective strategies for supporting their social and emotional well-being. She specializes in working with school refusal cases including--undertaking assessments, reviewing IEP's already in place, and drafting support plans.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Maxanne's personal journey has profoundly shaped her approach to her work. As a mother, foster parent, adoptive parent, and birth parent, she understands firsthand the complexities and challenges faced by children and families in need. Her own experiences with her two children, who were born substance dependent, have fueled her passion for advocating for and supporting children who have experienced trauma. Her dedication to her work is complemented by a love of travel and adventure, which she enjoys sharing with her family, especially when it involves exploring coastal destinations.

Before finding my calling in the mental health field, I spent years as a Culinary Artist, where I developed a deep appreciation for the creativity and connection that comes from sharing a meal. This passion for connection extends to my personal life, where I have a special affinity for nature, animals, and the power of human connection in all its forms.
As a second-generation immigrant and first-generation college graduate from Bridgewater State University, where I earned my master's degree in Clinical Psychology, I understand the importance of bridging cultural gaps and honoring the rich dynamics that shape our lives. My personal journey is one of resilience overcoming challenges in my life, which has inspired me to be committed to helping others break free from the cycles of intergenerational trauma. Healing is possible, and I believe that, with the right support, we can stop these cycles and create new, healthier paths forward for ourselves and our families.
My clinical focus is working with people of all ages that have experienced trauma, with a background working with families in crisis in the community and substance use treatment. My therapeutic approach blends Psychodynamic/Psychoanalytic Theory, Attachment Theory, and Cognitive Processing Theory. I take a tailored, individualized approach to treatment, ensuring that each person receives care that respects their unique needs, experiences, and strengths. For me, therapy is not just about providing guidance; it's about working with you to take ownership of your healing and supporting your inner knowing through each step of the journey.

In addition to my clinical work, I have a vision of creating a domesticated farm rescue that integrates animal therapy—an inclusive space where healing through connection with animals and community can happen organically. I firmly believe in the power of collectivism—the idea that we thrive when we are supported by others. Whether through family, friendships, or community, the connections we cultivate with those around us provide vital strength and resilience in navigating life’s challenges. My work is dedicated to helping clients tap into the collective power of these relationships to heal, grow, and overcome obstacles together.
